When is the best time to book your Maternity photo session?

Pregnancy is a beautiful and exciting time in a woman’s life. It’s a time of new beginnings.

I have been there and I know that there is a lot to organise for you and for the baby growing in your belly. And, I believe that having a photo session is one of the things to do during pregnancy.

Wouldn’t you love having photos that capture how your body changes to create the most amazing miracle?

Let’s see how to schedule your session.

3 tips for when and how to schedule your maternity photo session:

  • When should you book your session?

I recommend scheduling your photo shoot and saving the day as soon as you find out that you are pregnant. Why that early? Because popular photographers book up quickly.

  • When is the actual time to have your photos taken?

The best time to shoot a maternity session is around 32-38 weeks for a single pregnancy and 24 weeks for a twin pregnancy. This is when your baby bump will be full and round, but you’ll still be feeling relatively comfortable.

If you book your session too early, your bump may not be big enough, and if you book it too late, you may be feeling a bit uncomfortable posing for photos.

However, it also depends on the needs and circumstances of every woman. Sometimes complications may occur or you just want to organise a photoshoot a little earlier.

  • How to choose the photographer

When thinking about how and when to book your maternity session, you should also think of choosing the right photographer for you.

Do your research, and read reviews from other clients. This will help you find the right photographer for your needs. Choose the photographer you feel comfortable with and who you can trust to capture your pregnancy in a beautiful and timeless way.
